2 of the Hardest things when transitioning to Senior Living

Two of the hardest things when transitioning into senior living or helping someone move into senior living can be the loss of control and guilt. Some of the guilt that family members might feel is when their loved one is now going into a senior living community and they're wondering if they've done enough for them or if they could have done more. We want to help you feel confident that you have made the right decision and that your loved one is safe and at home. They are going to love it here.

Many residents move into senior living feeling like they have lost control, but we want to reassure them that they still have choices. They can make choices throughout the day, such as what they want to eat and what activities they want to do. After moving in, we want to maintain that connection between the resident and their loved ones, and we have lots of options to help you do that.

We use the LIF Loop app, which allows you to connect with your loved one and see what they are doing throughout the day, including attending activities. We have family nights where you can come and join us, maintaining that sense of family that we cherish here. Some residents love it here so much that they feel like this is their home—it is their home—and they never want to leave.

If you have worries or concerns about moving a loved one into senior living, or if you yourself are worried about moving into senior living, just know that it is normal. We are here for you every step of the way. Please reach out to us, give us a call, and we can answer any questions you have. Come in and talk to one of us, and we would be happy to help.
